Allen Barnett Obituary

Allen Stowe Barnett, 73, passed away March 10th, 2019 in his home. He was born May 15th, 1945 in Bremerton, WA to Bernadine (Stowe) Barnett and Robert Earl Barnett. He married Leslie G. (Babinec) in 1966 in Seattle, WA and they spent the following 53 years sharing their lives together.

Allen was raised in Anchorage, AK where he spent time enjoying skiing, hunting, fishing, flying, and a number of adventures with his wife, friends and family. He spent his career as a pilot for Alaska Airlines and after retirement, fished commercially in Sitka, AK with Leslie. As has been noted by the many people whose lives he marked, he had a love for great food and company, and an affinity for limericks.

Allen is survived by his wife Leslie, daughters Katie Perrone (Washington) and Kristen Barnett (Maine), Grandsons Kale Perrone (Washington), Sorrel Perrone (Washington), Quinton Barnett (Missoula,) and Jasper Barnett (Maine). He is also survived by his brother, David Barnett and wife Diane (Anchorage); sister, Sally and husband Bill Hansen (Washington); nephew, Ryan Barnett and wife Francisca (Anchorage), and their children Rylee and Corey. Allen is preceded in death by his father, Robert Barnett;  mother, Bernadine (Stowe) Barnett; niece Hetty (Barnett) and husband Corey Carlson and their daughters Ella and Addie.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial fund at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) at https://secure.seattlecca.org/. Donations made in memory of Allen will be designated for the T-cell Immunotherapy Program.
