Andrea Jean Etsitty

Andrea Jean Etsitty, age 61, returned home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 5, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born May 31, 1955 in Las Vegas to Peterson Charles of Shivwits, Utah and Dorothy Mike of Moapa, Nevada. On June 17, 2000 she married Kenneth Murray Etsitty in Moapa, Nevada.

Andrea was an avid traveler who acquired many friends along the Salt Song Trail. She was an excellent cook and was revered for her Native breads that we will all miss greatly. She was a quilt maker, homemaker and an excellent partner and friend. She was very proud of her Native Heritage and a member of the Moapa Band of Paiutes. Our lives have all been uplifted by the many, many laughs we have shared along the way.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of Moapa; her children, Kevin Mike; Boyd Randall; Dorothy Charles, Conrad Charles and Twila Jim. She is grandmother to five lovely grandchildren and sister to brother, Calvert Charles of Moapa and Doreen Charles of Las Vegas, NV.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Moapa LDS Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 - 2:45 p.m. the chapel. Following the Chapel Services, there will be a Traditional Indian Sing at the Moapa Tribal Building with interment following at dawn in the Moapa Indian Cemetery.
