Clara Louise (Hardy) Leavitt

Clara Louise Hardy Leavitt passed away peacefully in her home on July 5, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 10, 1929 in St. George, Utah to Heber Hardy and Margaret Sylvester Hardy. 

She married John Edward Leavitt on June 10, 1947 in the St. George LDS Temple. They raised their family in Mesquite, Nevada.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband- John, Son- Johnny and Great-Grandson-Treyson Chidester, brothers- Sheldon Hardy and Val Hardy, sister-Emmerene Lee.

She is survived by children, Valorie (Jay) Davis of Cedar City, Utah. Daughter-in-law Velma Leavitt of Bunkerville, Nevada. Daughter Gay (Shawn) Shirley of Bunkerville, Nevada and son Ron (Carolynn) Leavitt of Bunkerville, Nevada. She also leaves behind 21 Grandchildren, 55 Great-Grandchildren, and 15 Great-Great Grandchildren and Sister-Myrlene Miller of Jefferson, Oregon and Brother-Charlie Hardy of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Graveside services will be held on July 10, 2019 at 9:00 at the Mesquite City Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6-8 at the Virgin Valley Mortuary.
