Janice Brooks Baker

Mesquite, Nevada- Janice Brooks Baker, 73, passed away in her home on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.  She was born October 8, 1945 in Owensboro, Kentucky to William A. Brooks and Laura B. Foster.  She married Phillip N. Baker on July 6, 1977 in Owensboro, Kentucky.  
Janice was raised and also attended school in Owensboro.  She traveled and moved around the country with her husband and lived wherever his job took them.  They lived in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Washington, Alaska, Oregon and finally retired in Mesquite, NV.  Janice loved to travel and liked living in different places.  She also loved camping and always had her dogs with her.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Baker of Mesquite NV, brothers;  Billy and Charles Brooks of Owensboro, Kentucky. Janice was preceded in death by her father, William Brooks, mother, Laura B. Timms, of Owensboro, Kentucky, and sister, Manie Ann Ellis of Jacksonville, North Carolina.
Internment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens, Owensboro Kentucky.
