Jean (Pobanz) Schloemer

Marion Jean Schloemer, age 93, died peacefully at her home in Logandale, Nevada on Thursday, March 22, 2018.　She was born October 4, 1924 in Oakdale, Wisconsin to Robert and Meta Pobanz.　 Jean grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, where she met　Bradley Schloemer. They married on April 27, 1946 and had two children.　Bradley preceded her in death on February 11, 1991.

In the 1950s, she and Brad moved their family to Southern California.　 While there, Jean was a homemaker and employee of the Los Angeles Unified School District. She remained out west for over 50 years, but had recently moved to Logandale to be closer to her children.　 Jean enjoyed playing cards and followed many professional sports teams, remaining a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Grennan of Mesquite, NV; her son, Steve Schloemer of Logandale, NV; five grandsons, Rory Grennan of Tallahassee, FL, Sean (Jill) Grennan of Byron, IL, Colin Grennan of Byron, IL, John (Renee) Karwoski of Clovis, CA, and Kevin Schloemer of Valencia, CA; four great-grandchildren; and　one sister, Jan Marshall of California.　She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, one brother and two sisters.
