Kathleen Joan (Lange) Warner

Kathleen J. Warner, 71, passed away in her home on May 23, 2018 in Mesquite, NV. Kathy was born on July 25, 1946 in Forsyth, MT to Frank and Jean (Cramer) Lange and was raised on a large family ranch.

Kathy later graduated from Montana State University in Billings with a degree in Elementary Education and Library Science. As a teacher in Terry, MT Kathy met Cactus Warner, a teacher also.  They were married June 14, 1969 at the Immaculate Conception in Forsyth, MT. Kathy taught until the untimely death of her sister-in-law and brother-in-law in 1978.  She and Cactus moved their family to Minnesota and North Dakota to help their nephews and began farming in the Red River Valley, where they raised their children. In 1999, the retired and moved to Mesquite, NV where Kathy started subbing in the Virgin Valley Schools.  She became a full-time 3rd grade teacher in Bunkerville, NV.  After that, she became a substitute and remedial teacher at the Virgin Valley Elementary School until she retired in 2017.

The greatest loves in Kathy’s life were her faith in God, her family, and her country.  Secondary to those, she loved teaching, outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with her family and traveling with them. Kathy was a member of the la Virgen de Guadalupe Church.  She taught CCD for 40 years and was a very active volunteer.

Kathy is survived by her three children; Brianna (Daryl) Watson of Riverton, WY, Annette (Rick) Salyer of Henderson, NV, and Nathan (Glenna) Warner of Mesquite, NV, and four grandchildren; Derek and Shelby Watson and Regan and Aric Salyer; seven brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Mass Services will be held at la Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. PST. The family would like to invite you to leave a message or a memory on their “Guest Book”.
