Kevin Lee Bender

Kevin Lee Bender, age 54, died Saturday, August 25, 2018 due to an acute medical condition while driving in Logandale, Nevada. Kevin was born Ocotber 23, 1963 in Palos Verdes, California to William Henry and Margaret Barbara Wiskochil Bender. On June 19, 1999 he married Kimberly Belle Pullan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kevin grew up in Redondo Beach, California. He lived in Los Alamitos working as a test pilot at the Joint Forces Base, where he also flew the UH-1 Helicopter. He served in the US Army during the Iraq War where he flew a C-12 overseas. Kevin was a decorated Army Veteran, earning a Bronze Star for his service. He later worked as an Aviation Inspector with the FAA. He moved to Overton in 2005.

Kevin shared his passion for music with his daughter Marie. Together they loved playing the guitar and listening to great artists. He enjoyed golfing, shooting, being social and taking care of people. He spent his final day taking his daughter shopping and giving her driving lessons. He adored his "Wifus", daughters and grandbaby. He took incredible pride in his flying career, his education and his girls!

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly of Overton, NV; two daughters: Elke (Justin) Wade and their daughter, Adelaide of Seal Beach, CA; Marie of Overton, NV; one brother and three sisters: Barbara (Bert) Kapinus of Hyattsville, MD; Sue (Dave) Albert of Saugus, CA; Heidi (Bob) Kopp of Leawood, KS and Bill (Sue) of Daphne, AL. He will be remembered by his beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 12 noon at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Los Alamitos, CA 90720. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
