Major Steven Price Nelson

Major Steven Price Nelson, 55, passed away in his home in Overton, NV on November 5, 2019. Steve was born on May 2, 1964 in Henderson, NV to Rodney Price Nelson and Kathleen Kaye Hunter. He married Ginger Michelle Rondas in Logandale, NV on April 23, 1988, and had four children. He later married Stacy Lynn Bice in Leesville, LA on June 13, 2009. 

As Steve graduated from high school, he joined the U.S. Army, then he served an eighteen-month Church mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the South Africa, Johannesburg Mission in 1984, and rejoined the U.S. Army and was promoted to a Chemical Officer. He served his country for thirty years, six months, and eleven days. Steve loved his family, his country, and will be deeply missed.

Steve is survived by his wife, Stacy Lynn Nelson; his children, Randall Price Nelson of Logan, UT, Kimberly (Caleb) Davies of Provo, UT, Alexandria Nelson of Bryant, AK, Jonathon Nelson of Fort Stewart, GA, Adrian Nelson of Overton, NV, Madison Ramino of Overton, NV, and Justin Nelson of Overton, NV; his parents, Rodney and Kathy Nelson; and his siblings, Jeffrey (Brandie) of Phoenix, AZ, Aaron (Michelle) of Henderson, NV, Aileena (Joe) Perez of Logandale, NV, Rory (Tracie) of Overton, NV, Travis (Karen) of Bonaire, GA, Karleena (James) Landini of Logandale, NV, Jared (Maryanne) of Iowa City, IA, Sean (Cara) of Germany, Tyler (Lindsey) of N. Las Vegas, NV, and Chareena Thompson of Iowa City, IA. 

There will be Viewing Services on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m at the Moapa Valley Mortuary, Logandale, NV. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Overton  Chapel, 226 W. Thomas St., Overton, NV, with Viewing services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial Services will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 9:20 a.m. at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Boulder City, NV 89005.
