Richard Clark Obituary

Mesquite, Nevada Richard Bryant Clark, age 82, passed away October 9, 2018 at his home in Mesquite, NV. He was born August 8, 1938 to Thomas Bryant Clark and Barbara Ann Clark (LeVitt). He married Mary Helen Clark (Hemandez), on May 5, 1980 in Santa Ana, CA.

Dick was born and raised in Santa Ana, CA, where he graduated from Santa Ana High School, and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Southern California (USC) in 1958. He earned a Masters Degree and worked primarily for Rockwell as an engineer and manager of facilities for his career. He was well known throughout Anaheim for his many years of service as President of Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, active in the Anaheim Rotary Club and Rockwell Ski Club. Richard received an award from Orange County for working on the Overall Economic Development Program Committee.

Richard and Mary liked to travel and play golf, and was a member of the Rockwell Golf Club. He marshaled and volunteered with the Toshiba Sr. Classic Golf Tournament for more than 20 years in support of Hoag Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Clark; children, Steven Clark, David Clark, Linda Burns; Mary’s children, Angela Crane, Kemper Funk, Marceline Brown and Jinii Kennelly; their spouses, children and grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Ruth Ann Clark, of Oberlin, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Barbara Clark.

A Memorial Service will be held in the beginning of November at the First Congregational Church, 2535 Santiago St., Santa Ana, CA 92807. Friends and family are welcome to attend the memorial service.
