Aristeo Nunez Ramos

March 5, 1945 — October 23, 2025

Aristeo Nunez Ramos, age 80, died Thursday, October 23, 2025 at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was devoted husband, father, grandfather and a hard- working man of unwavering integrity. He was born March 5, 1945 in Ameca, Jalisco, Mexico to Andres Granados Ramos and Maria Consuelo Nunez de Rico. In 1975 he married his beloved wife of 49 years, Teresa Monay in Alta Vista Mexico. She preceded him in death on August 1, 2024. Together, they raised five children and built a legacy rooted in love, hard work and family.

He built the family home with his own hands and spent over 30 years working for Simplot, mastering and operating all kinds of heavy machinery with skill and pride. At one point, he owned and managed over 250 head of cattle, reflecting his dedication and strength in all that he did.

A true entrepreneur, he owned multiple properties throughout the United States and Mexico. He even constructed a home in Mexico from the ground up, a testament to his craftsmanship and determination. Besides working 30+ years for Simplot, ranching and development, he also worked at Wayne Newton’s Ranch and in agriculture. His hard work and dedication were recognized in an article in a Nevada publication.

Beyond his work, he was a man who loved life. He had a deep passion for Banda and Mariachi music, and he found joy in entertaining, always welcoming family and friends with open arms, food, laughter and music. He loved to fire up the pit BBQ, cook carne asada and chicharrones, sharing meals with everyone he cared for. He cherished traveling and creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Survivors include one son and four daughters: Phyllis Ann Gormley of Las Vegas;  Lilia Ramos of Las Vegas, Elvira Ramos of Logandale; Jorge (Katherine) Ramos of Las Vegas; Linda Montero of Florida; eleven grandchildren.
