Barbara (Barb) Loan Dreith, age 82, died Saturday, February 19, 2022 in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born August 25, 1939 to Alexander Phillip and Vera Helen Wassmer Dreith in Denver, Colorado. In 1959 she married Donald Ray Ellis in Lakewood, CA. They had one son (Rex) and later divorced. Barb and Herbert Ernst were married for 25 years and lived in Idaho and Mexico before their divorce.
Barb grew up in Los Angeles County. She raised her son in several different places before settling into Pocatello, Idaho. Barb traveled the world, lived abroad and enjoyed concerts and adventures. She enjoyed sailing on Herb’s and her boat “Catalyst” and she was a precision horseback rider with the Silver Sage Riders in Pocatello, ID. In 2000, she moved to sunnier weather in Mesquite, Nevada where she found the place she called home and worked as a realtor for Premier Properties for 20 years. Barb was a social person and enjoyed a large circle of close friends who will miss her dearly.
Survivors include her son, Rex (Olena) Ellis of Fairbanks, AK; step daughter, Theresa (Joseph) Maimone of San Jose, CA; four grandchildren; sister, Margery McCombs of Mexico; brother, Phillip (Lek) Dreith of Thailand and numerous nieces and nephews.
