Carl Irvin Wilson, 84, of Moapa NV, passed away in his sleep on Nov 27th from complications with Mesothelioma. Carl was born on December 8th , 1937 in Sloan Nevada. Carl served in the Navy from 1957 - 1961.
Carl enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid thrill seeker. He loved the speed of vehicles, if it was sand rails, ATV’s, boats or flying small airplanes. He also loved nature, the beauty of the desert and searching the mountains for animals, petroglyphs, rocks, and flowers. Family gatherings were at Dry Lake and he would teach his nephews and nieces to shoot guns, drive, and build the infamous bon fire of dead cactus for the finale of the evening.
Carl loved road trips and he loved to challenge you in your thinking when talking with him. Playing cards with family and friends or showing his dance moves with the ladies. He lived his life his way and are grateful for the happy memories when he was around.
There are no services planned and we just ask if you have a memory of him, just enjoy the moment of who he was to you. If you would like to send a donation in his memory to help fund research and help others battling the disease the following would accept your support: International Mesothelioma Program, Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization, Possible Dream Foundation.
Friends and family are invited to leave a message or memory in the online guestbook at www.MoapaValleyMortuary.com
