Charles Dee Floyd (Chuck) passed away at his home in Mesquite, Nevada on Friday March 18, 2022. He was born in Plainview, Texas on January 20, 1941, to Kathrine Jackson and Amos Floyd though he was raised by his stepfather, Troy Jackson who raised him and loved him as his own son. Chuck loved him and thought of him as his father.
As a young boy in Texas, Chuck loved the ranch life and fell in love with his horses and dogs and spent many hours riding in the mountains, his dogs running beside him. He kept the memory of all his former dogs close to his heart and Reggie was by his side until the end. His second love was riding his motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson Sportster. Later in life, he found his partner, Carol James whom he loved greatly. The two spent his last years happily together in Mesquite.
Chuck was also proud to have served in the United States Air Force as Airmen Second Class. Chuck had many friends whom he treated and loved as family.
Chuck’s wit and humor, love, and loyalty to those he loved will be missed, but his loved ones take comfort in that he is no longer in pain.
He is survived by his 5 children (Debbie, Kenny, Sean, John and Troy) and 5 grandchildren (Mikayla, Ana, Troylyn, Sage and Bode).
Carol would like to express how deeply thankful and appreciative she is for all those who helped support and care for Chuck over the past months.
The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com.
