Colleen L Clark

Colleen L. Clark, age 96, died peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born August 9, 1930, in Paragonah, Utah to Clarence Melvin and Sarah Elizabeth Jones Lamoreaux. On December 24, 1946, she married Orris Eugene "Gene" Clark in Paragonah. 

Colleen grew up in Paragonah. Shortly after she married Gene, they lived in Cedar City, Utah and Long Beach, California, prior to moving to Henderson, Nevada where they continued to build their life together. They were blessed with five children. She worked as a cashier at Safeway, at Artic Circle, and a clothing store, In 1976 she went to work for a bank and finished her career at a credit union, working her way up to Assistant Manager before retiring.

On December 7, 1963, several families in their local church stake traveled to St. George, Utah to be sealed for time and all eternity in the St George Temple. Activity and service in the church became part of her life. Colleen happily served as a Relief Society president, Primary president and in the Young Women's Program.  She was a great example of serving others.  Colleen and her husband loved working in the Temple.  After Eugene’s death, she continued to serve in the Temple and served a full-time mission in London, England. She enjoyed playing the piano and gathering with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed all types of activities, such as quilting, square dancing, bowling, fishing, being in the outdoors, traveling the US and abroad.  She loved watching her children and grandchildren play baseball, football, softball or any other sport.  Her TV would always be tuned to a sporting event.  

Survivors include one daughter and two sons: Pamela (Scott) McClain; Gary Clark (Dorothy); Darrel Clark (Suzi); daughter in law, Terri Clark, all of Henderson, NV, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren and one sister, Eloise Morgan of St. George. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, siblings Ralph Lamoreaux, Bob Lamoreaux, Thelma Jenkins and Margaret Scott, her sons Larry Clark and Adrian Clark, daughter in law, Kris Clark, and grandson Cody Clark.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11 a.m.at the Arrowhead Stake Center, 801 Arrowhead Trail, Henderson, NV. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 1 p.m. (MST) in the Paragonah Cemetery, 689 East Center Street, Paragonah,Utah.
