Corwin James Bemis

Corwin James Bemis, age 81, died Sunday, April 10, 2022 in Mesquite, Nevada.  He was born April 19, 1940 in San Diego, California to Kirk Francis and Jean Muriel Booth Bemis.  On December 31, 1993 he married Patricia Jane Wilson in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Corwin grew up in Nice, California.  He raised his family in Fair Oaks, California where he worked for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District as an electrical engineer.  Following his retirement he and Pat moved to Eugene, Oregon for six years before moving to Mesquite two years ago.  Corwin loved cars, fixing cars and watching car races.  He enjoyed making and flying model airplanes and playing computer games.  He will be remembered as a caring, loving, devoted husband and father.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of Mesquite, NV; daughter, Alison Bemis of Citrus Heights, CA; son, Chad (Danielle) Bemis of Orting, WA granddaughter, Megan Parker; step son, Richard Gower of Broken Arrow, OK and one brother Donald Bemis of Brookings, OR.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney and one sister, Barbara Walker.
