David E. Greenway, Jr.
aka:DUCKY
David Eugene Greenway, Jr. 56, passed away unexpectantly on March 22, 2026 in Logandale, NV. David was born on February 6, 1970 in Roanoke, VA to David Eugene Greenway, Sr. and Ruby Mae Bray. David began working at a young age alongside his father on the railroad, where he developed the strong work ethic that would define his life. He later became a truck driver, for many years, spending much of his life on the road doing what he loved.
David took pride in everything he did. He truly never met a stranger. David had a natural gift for connecting with people and made friends wherever he went. He loved spending time with family and friends and could often be found in TC’s garage, working on trucks and enjoying the company. David was known for his incredible ability to build and fix just about anything with his hands. A true jack of all trades, there was no task too big or too small for him to take on.
In recent years, David embraced a slower pace of life, finding happiness in the simple things, especially spending time with his beloved dogs, Paige and Charlie. David will be remembered for his kind heart, hardworking spirit, and the lasting impression he made on everyone he met.
David is survived by his loving partner of 15 years, Geri Lyn Hansen; his children, Gabe (Pauline) Greenway, Kassidy Lyn (David ) Ratliff, and Kristen (Tyler Markin) Greenway; his nine grandchildren; his sisters, Lynn (Bill) Morgan and Nicole (Eddie) Persinger; and his life-long friend, TC and Sarah Shires. He also leaves behind many extended family members and close friends who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Ruby Greenway.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in New Castle, VA and Logandale, NV. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
