Joseph Dell Millward, age 56, died Saturday, November 29, 2025, at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born August 14, 1969, in Moses Lake, Washington to Joseph DeMott and Lanae Hill Millward. Tilly Jenski was a long-time partner with whom he had a daughter, Madelyn. He later married Elli Karlsson in the Salt Lake Temple. They had one daughter, Clara, and were later divorced.
Dell grew up in Kingman, Arizona and graduated from Kingman High School in 1987. From an early age he enjoyed riding and working with horses. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Belo Horizonte Brazil Mission. After his mission, he attended college in Portland, Oregon to become a Farrier. He lived in Pocatello, Idaho and Logandale, Nevada for a short time before settling in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1998. He was respected in the Equine community for his horse shoeing abilities, team roping and work with horses. He was fiercely loyal, genuinely concerned and uncommonly thoughtful to his many friends. He was respectful and congenial to all who knew him in business or as an acquaintance. His greatest joy and focus in life were his two beautiful daughters.
Survivors include his daughters, Madelyn and Clara, both of Las Vegas; brothers and sisters: Cody (Keri) of Clinton, UT; Gard of Bedford, WY; Jynnae Smedley; Annique (Jed) Dayley; Terri (John) Oborn; Tena (Phil) Richardson all of Chubbuck, ID; Curtis (Megan); Jason (Hailey) Dye both of Pocatello, ID; Art (Shauna) Dye of Ogden, UT; Mark (Covina) Dye of Soda Springs, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father Dennis M. Dye and two brothers, Quinn and Bryce.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Thom Chapel, 8525 N Thom Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada. Visitation will be Friday, December 5, 2025, from 6 – 8 p.m. and again from 9 – 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery.
