Donn Edward Cassity Jr., age 74, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by love and family.
Born on August 4, 1950, in Bethesda, Maryland, Donn was the beloved son of Donn Edward Cassity Sr. and Betty Gayle Nelson Cassity. A true entrepreneur at heart, Donn founded several businesses throughout his life. Most recently, he dedicated his time to helping people with disabilities navigate their healthcare - a role he took great pride in and continued until just a month before his passing.
Donn was the life of every party, known for his infectious humor, spontaneous remarks, and his unmatched ability to make those around him laugh. He loved to travel, especially cruising, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by wife, Marla Jean Mumford Cassity, wife, Debra Roxburgh Cassity, and his cherished grandsons, Hunter Scott Cassity and Wyatt Chance Cassity.
Donn is survived by his loving children: Brendon Cassity, Scott Cassity, Jennifer Roberts, Kimberly Cassity, and Carl Cassity. His legacy lives on through them and the many lives he touched.
A public viewing for friends and colleagues will be held at the LDS Monument Park Stake Center 1320 Wasatch Dr. Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday, June 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A family viewing will take place on Friday, June 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S., Salt Lake City, UT 84108.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his laughter, stories, and bold, unforgettable spirit will continue to bring smiles for years to come.
