Janice France Lamb, age 88, died Thursday, November 20, 2025 at her home in St. George, Utah surrounded by loved ones. She was born November 12, 1937 in Milford, Utah to John Eugene and Itha France Skinner Garzand. On July 30, 1955 she married Merlin James Lamb in Pioche, Nevada. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2019.
Janice was raised in Lincoln County. She raised her family in Alamo where she worked at different businesses but focused her efforts on raising her family. She was very adventurous, engaging and ready for fun. She enjoyed exploring the desert, looking for interesting rocks and arrowheads. She was kind, thoughtful (she sent many hand written notes and cards) and a joy to be with. Her final years were spent with her daughter in St. George.
Survivors include her daughter, Debby (Ted) Leavitt of St. George, UT; daughter in law, Launa (John) Olearain of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one sister in law, Cheryl Garzand of S. Jordan, UT. She was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy and one infant daughter Itha.
Memorial services will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Alamo Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior at the chapel.
