John Charles Stanly, age 47, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at his home in Overton, Nevada. He was born May 24, 1962 in California to Bertchel Gwin and Charlotte Marie Sperrico Stanly. On December 23, 1991 he married Kimberly Ann Drosos in Las Vegas, Nevada. On May 26, 1999 they were sealed in the Las Vegas LDS Temple.
John grew up in California. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in his early 20's. He worked as a valet parking attendant for over 20 years at the Tropicana. He also enjoyed working with upholstery. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was an avid reader and enjoyed military history.
Survivors include his wife, Kim; step son, Dominic (April) Drosos of Logandale, NV; daughter, Cherish of St. George, UT; son, Benjamin of Logandale, NV; two grandchildren and one sister, Fern.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery in Overton, Nevada. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the Moapa Valley Mortuary.
