Julie O'Hara

Julie Marie O’Hara passed away on May 11, 2025 in Overton, NV. The sun set on Mother’s Day as Julie galloped into the heavens, her spirit rising with the strength and grace she carried throughout her life.

Julie was a force of nature, a tireless worker with a heart as big as the open sky. Whether she was working on the ranch, caring for horses, helping anyone in need, or managing a hotel in Austin, Nevada, she gave her all to everything and everyone she touched. If someone was hungry, she’d whip up a hot meal without a second thought. If you needed a shirt, she’d give you hers. No one was ever turned away, not in Julie’s world.

She raised six children – Shae, Crystal, Shawn, Cody, Kyle, and Kat much of it on her own. Her kids were her pride and joy, but becoming a grandma lit her up in a whole new way. Julie was the kind of woman you’d find dancing in the kitchen, singing at the top of her lungs, or laughing loud enough to fill a room. She had grit, joy, and a fierce determination to give her family everything she could.

Julie’s presence was larger than life, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, generosity, and unshakable love – one that lives on in her children, grandchildren, and everyone she ever helped along the way.

She believed that "Self humor is the preservation of life". As far back as I can remember she would start her day by saying "Good morning, the sun is shining and i am eyeing another beautiful day." She lived by these words, as I'm sure you've heard her say.
