Keith Brewer

May 3, 1947 — September 12, 2025

Keith Dayle Brewer, age 78, died Friday, September 12, 2025 at St Rose Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. He was born May 3, 1947 in Provo, Utah to Alden Norris Brewer and Ivaloo Esther Hoth Brewer.

He spent his preschool years in Torrington, Wyoming. His family relocated to Salt Lake City where he lived at 1232 McClelland Street most of his early school years. During his East High School years, Keith participated as a pole vaulter on the track team and played on their state Championship football team (1965). Following high school, his family relocated to Richfield, Utah where his father was employed as an engineer for the Bureau of Land Management. That summer he met his lifelong sweetheart, Jeanette Ruth “Jeannie” Wegener. That fall Keith began a business program at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Florida Mission from 1966-67. He then returned to his university studies. He and Jeannie were married and sealed in the Salt Lake LDS temple on December 12, 1968. In 1972, they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he was employed as a computer operator with a local bank. Keith and Jeannie are the parents of two daughters and three sons.

He bought two 7-Eleven store franchises, working there until his retirement in 2012. Keith worked hard (being on call 24/7 for 36 years). He enjoyed working on his Corvettes as a hobby. His family was his greatest joy. The family water skied on Lake Mead and snow skied in season. He faithfully supported his children in team sports, and especially on local swimming teams where some of them competed for many years. Keith was a faithful member of the LDS church. His goal in life was to serve his family and those around him as a true disciple of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Jeannie and children Kristine (Robert Blau) of Las Vegas; Rhett (Julie) of New York City; Lance of Las Vegas; Ryan (Nohemi) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Kira (Charles Grossman), of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, Bruce of Las Vegas and sister, Michelle (Brian) Taylor of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Sunset Ward Chapel, 2701 East Pebble Road, Las Vegas Nevada. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be on Saturday, February 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. (MST) in the Richfield City Cemetery, Richfield, Utah.
