Leonard, Jr. Henry

Leonard Henry, Jr., 67, passed away on October 17, 2024 in his home in Moapa, Nevada. Leonard was born on October 23, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Leonard Henry, Sr. and Adelaide Florence Lemos. He married Sherri Nez on February 14, 1997 in St. George, Utah. He worked as an iron worker for some time, building slot machines for casinos. He later worked as a janitor for the Moapa Tribe Travel Plaza. He loved crafting dream catchers and other Native American crafts. He loved traveling and visiting sites around the United States. More than anything, he liked being with his family.

Leonard is survived by his children, Calving Shepherd and Majestica Henry; his three grandchildren; his sisters, Lisa Marie Henry and Toni Louise Henry; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sherri Nez Henry; his son, Jeremy Shepherd; his parents, Leonard and Adelaide Henry; and his siblings, Carl Michael Henry, Patricia Ann Henry, and Lynnaire Henry. 

A Viewing will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, 1-2:00 p.m., at the Moapa Tribal Building, Moapa, Nevada, followed by a Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. The interment will follow at the Moapa Tribal Cemetery.
