Lester William Miller

Lester William Miller, age 88, died Monday, February 15, 2021 at his home in Mesquite, Nevada.  He was born June 3, 1932 in Greensburg, Indiana to Albert H. Miller and Virginia M. Sturgeon.  Les grew up in New Point, Indiana. He served two years in the United States Army and subsequently in the Army Reserve.  On November 3, 1956 he married Marian Joan Lentz in Cicero, Illinois.
He earned his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, then decided to pursue a career as a lawyer, earning his Law degree from Pacific Coast University, and went on to pass the California Bar.

The climate of California suited him as he built a business and raised his family in Long Beach.  He was a Boy Scout Leader, a Master Mason, and a longstanding member of the California Bar Association.  He had a great love of woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 65 years, Marian of Mesquite, NV; daughter, Carol (Michael) Webster of Yorba Linda, CA; son, Richard (Brenda) of Park City, UT; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters: Alberta Oelgoetz of Surprise, AZ; Nancy Durbin of New Vienna, OH; Linda Kinker of Lakeland, FL; Judy (Richard) Cherry of Sun City West, AZ.  He was preceded in death by his brother, James.
