Luis Salmon

Luis Fernando Salmon Briceno, age 39, died Saturday, July 19, 2025 in St. George, Utah days after suffering an aneurysm. He was born October 14, 1985 in Nacozari de Garcia, Sonora, Mexico to Pablo Salmon Barrera and Blanca Hortencia Briseno Cuevas. On February 14, 2015 he married the love of his life, Carmen Guadalupe Andrade in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Luis grew up in Agua Prieta, Mexico. At age 18 he moved to Moapa, Nevada with his family. He started working for Ramm Corp. and was most recently employed as a custodian for the Clark County School District. He loved his Chevy trucks, riding 4-wheeler’s, and anything off-road. He enjoyed going to car races and spending time with family. Luis had a talent for fixing anything mechanical or electrical, and was a very hard worker. He enjoyed helping friends and family fix or modify anything with a motor. Luis was a devoted husband and father. His absence will be greatly felt by those who love him.

Survivors include his wife, Carmen; daughter, Emma; parents, Pablo and Blanca Salmon, all of Moapa, NV; grandmother, Emma Barrera Escalante of Mexico; brother, Pablo and sister, Niltza both of Moapa.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in his honor on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 9 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. and another visitation from 8 – 8:45 a.m. prior to the Mass at the church.
