Marie Leatham-Davis

December 28, 1984 — September 7, 2021

Las Vegas, NV

Marie Leatham-Davis, 36, passed away on September 7, 2021, in Las Vegas from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born on December 28, 1984, in Las Vegas to Melanie Webb Leatham and Nile Leatham.

Marie grew up and attended school in Las Vegas. She earned two associate degrees before graduating with honors in December of 2020 with her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology, from Nevada State College. She wanted to continue her education and pursue her passion of helping those who use their voice as a profession.

For 17 years, Marie taught voice and piano at music schools and in her home studio. Her students adored her, and in addition to sharing the gift of music with them, she was happy to lend an ear if they ever needed someone to talk to. Marie was always thinking of how she could serve those in need; an ultimate act of her kindness will benefit those who are helped through the Nevada Donor Network.

Marie enjoyed listening to and performing music, as well as attending concerts. She also enjoyed movies, theater, and cooking. She was an avid reader and a lifelong learner.

She is survived by her husband, Matthew C. Davis, and her stepson, Bart Davis (of Helsinki, Finland), as well as her parents, Melanie and Nile Leatham (of Las Vegas, NV), and four brothers: Daniel (Seattle, WA), Andrew (and Valorie; Orem, UT), Garrett (and Kathryn, James, Elizabeth & Thomas; Fresno, CA), Richard (São Paulo, Brazil), and her cat, Duchess.
