Mary Ellen Williams, 75, passed away October 5, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV. Mary was born on January 11, 1950 in Buckeye, AZ to Joseph F. Valdez and Sarah Amabisca. She married Earl Charles “Chuck” Williams, Jr. on April 4, 1968 in Las Vegas, NV.
Mary was the greatest cheerleader and “Rodeo Mom” for her kids. She was their biggest supporter and was very proud of them. She was kind, sweet, and never rushed her time with those she loved. She had a great sense of humor. She had the best penmanship and loved doodling all the time. She loved baking and cooking and she was famous for her Mexican food and popcorn balls. She loved to go camping at Ol’ Creek with her ward as a young woman. She loved her kids, her grandkids, and her donkeys and puppy dogs.
Mary is survived by her husband, Chuck Williams, Jr., her children, Ronny (Janet) Williams, Jared (Michelle) Williams, Chad Williams, Delda (Dan) Thiel, Bubba (Mandee) Williams, and Weston (Jordan) Williams; her fifteen grandchildren; her thirteen great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Joe Valdez and Gerry Blanton. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Art Valdez and Jimmy Valdez; and one grandchild.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Alamo Chapel with the Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The graveside service will follow at the Alamo Cemetery.
