Pamela Winsor Barber was born on September 22, 1947, in Overton, Nevada to IlaAdams Winsor and Vasco Gilbert “Scott” Winsor. She passed away on December 20, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV.
Pamela was married to Richard Bryant Shurtliff on July 10, 1965 in the St. George Temple. During the course of their 20 years of marriage, they had six children, Ross, Ranee, Tami, Carey, and two have been holding a place for her in heaven. After being a single mom for 16 years, Pamela was married to Curtis Lane Barber on August 24, 2002 in the Las Vegas Temple, where she gained 7 living stepchildren.
Pamela was raised mostly in Logandale, NV. She had a multitude of skills and careers running a concrete and excavation company, florist, receptionist, interior design, cake decorating, retail, and managerial positions. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing genealogy, sewing, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Her love of genealogy led to her joining the Daughters of Utah Pioneers (“DUP”) and in 2016 she founded the St. Joe Daughters of Pioneer Utah Camp in Logandale, NV and was currently serving as the camp's Registrar.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served a proselyting full time mission in the Baltimore, Maryland with her husband, Curt. As if all of that wasn’t enough, she was always helping someone.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Ila and Vasco “Scott” Winsor and her husband, Curtis Barber. Pamela is survived by her sister, Erlene (Ron) Marshall, her children, Roscoe “Ross” Bryant (Donna) Shurtliff, Ranee (Donald) Turnage, Tami (Kenny) Quiring, and Carey Shurtliff; her stepchildren, Joan Kirby (Michael), Theodore Barber (Melody), Betsy Sprague (Jeff), Michelle Ericksen (Dave), Myrna Foster (Ben), William Barber (Lucy), and Calvin Barber; as well as 37 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Hinckley Chapel, 1505 West Hinckley, Logandale, NV with a visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to the services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery. A live stream of the services will be available. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guestbook at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
