Philip Long

Philip Arthur Long, age 86, died Friday, November 13, 2020 at his home in Overton, Nevada.  He was born October 29, 1934 in Venice, California to Elmer Arthur and Genevieve Elvira Trout Long.  He married Mona R. Pace.  They had two children and were later divorced.
Philip graduated from Moapa Valley High School in 1953.  He served as a medical nurse in the US Army from 1958 - 1961.  He then earned his PHD in Veterinary Science.  He worked for a short time in Minnesota then moved back to Overton where he enjoyed a career as a truck driver.
Survivors include his daughter, Carol; son, Chris; sister, Helen Pierlot; brother, Calvin; nieces, Elsie Tuholsky, Debbie Pobloski; nephews, Tom Sanders, Kent Tuholski.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Beehive Home and to Mesa View Hospice for their care of Philip in his final months.
