Rodney Carl Graves, age 87, died Thursday, December 18, 2025 at his home in Moapa, Nevada. He was born July 31, 1938 in Murray, Utah to Charles William and Mildred Marie Nabaum Graves. On September 6, 1956 he was married in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dixie Dee Anderson. She preceded him in death on May 17, 2021.
Rodney grew up in Price, Utah. He worked in Sandy, Utah for a short time working in the Tunnels of the Kennecott Copper Mine. He moved to Kansas to work for Hercules Mine as a shift supervisor. Later he lived in Idaho where he worked as a landscaper and as a truck driver for OreIda Potatoes company. Finally, he moved to Draper, Utah where he worked as a Foam and Mason Contractor. Retirement brought him to sunny Moapa, Nevada where he lived out his final years. He and Dixie enjoyed exploring the outdoors, rock hounding, geode hunting and riding in the ATV’s. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter: Gordon (Linda) of Murray, UT; Blake (Becky) of Salem, UT; Dana Graves of Moapa; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers: Ken of Logandale; Lynn of Sandy, UT and one sister, June in Utah.
