Timothy Swain

Timothy Swain, 75, passed away on July 12, 2026 in Overton, NV. Tim was born on February 21, 1951 in Cedar City, UT to Edward Swain and Shirley Gwendolyn Atkin. Tim loved spending his time on Lake Mead and Lake Havasu enjoying boating life with friends and family. He raced and placed in several boat races, including the run to Catalina Island. Tim loved his Harley motorcycle and going on rides, either alone or with a group for a grand adventure. Along his rides, he would often stop in for a visit with friends because going on a “ride around the corner” could mean around the block or 300 miles away. He enjoyed many years helping out at the race tracks on nostalgia top fuel dragsters and dirt track speedway bikes.

Tim worked and learned the trade of welding and fabrication to then go on to be a welding supplies salesman for many years in Southern California. He had a gift for telling stories that would always make you smile.

Tim is survived by his children; Lori Swain, Timothy (Jessica Smith) Swain, Chalet (Alex) Buenrostro, and Charity (Ryan) Dabe; his seven grandchildren; his five great-grandchildren; his brother, Steven Lee (Barbara) Swain; and his sister-in-law, Marva Swain. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Swain and Shirley Gwendolyn Atkin Rowley Swain Boots and his brothers, Edward Swain, Ken C. Swain, David Strickland and Sonny Elmore Swain.
