Thomas Terry Olive, 69, passed away on November 27, 2020 in Las Vegas, NV. Terry was born on April 28, 1951 in Pocatello, ID to Joseph Thomas Olive and Janet Ann Semmens. Terry was raised by his grandparents, Joe and Charlotte Olive, and loved playing with his siblings, and liked doing crazy stunts. They loved riding horses, and Terry was very good with horses, but stopped when he was hit by a car while horseback-riding. His family moved to Overton, NV in 1963, and he graduated from Moapa Valley High School several years later. He worked at a gas station in Glendale after high school, then was offered a job at the Reid Gardener Power Plant in maintenance, and worked his way up to a be a control operator. He later retired in 2005.
Terry loved to ride Harley’s and be outdoors. He would go shooting and hunting with his kids and grandkids, and would play video games online with them. He liked loud music, riding dirt-bikes, leather-working, and wood-working. He taught his grandchildren how to swim and to fish. He would always be working on his cars, and would continually research on how to do it properly.
Terry is survived by his children, Bobbie Jo (James) Day, Bridget Renee (Phil) Olive, Curtis Tony (Annie) Olive, Ryan Terry (America) Olive, Billy Joe (Meghan) Olive, Codi Lynn Olive, Teri Rivard, and Savahana Daniell Olive; his twenty-seven grandchildren; his fifteen great-grandchildren, his mother, Janet Ann Forster; his stepmother, Cheri Lynn Espinosa; his siblings, Dale Michael (Julie) Olive, Becky Jo Olive, Joseph Doyle Olive, Christopher Thomas Olive, and Virginia K Olive; and a large extended family. He is preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
Viewing services will be held on Thusday, December 3, 2020, 9:30-10:30 a.m., with Funeral services to start at 11:00 a.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary. Graveside services will follow at the Warm Springs Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, in-person services will be held only for family, with live-stream services available through Facebook, with a link found at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
