With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Vicki LaDuke, who passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 81.

Vicki was born on October 20, 1944, in McAllen, Texas, to Mervin H. Bohannon and Florence E. Huff. She dedicated much of her working life to caring for others as a home nursing assistant, a profession that reflected her compassionate heart and generous spirit.

Vicki was married to the love of her life, Hazen "Bud" LaDuke. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and caring for others. She was the proud mother of two sons, Brian Stromquest and Peter Alan Bohannon, whom she loved deeply.

Those who knew Vicki will remember her kind heart, quiet strength, and her deep affection for animals, especially cats. She devoted herself to rescuing and caring for countless cats over the years, ensuring they were loved and safe. Her compassion extended not only to animals but to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Vicki also treasured the friendships she built throughout her life. She shared a particularly close bond with her dear friend, Kristie Rowland, whose unwavering friendship, kindness, and devoted care meant so much to Vicki, especially in her later years. Their friendship was a true blessing and a source of comfort and joy.

Vicki was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hazen "Bud" LaDuke; her sons, Brian Stromquest and Peter Alan Bohannon; her parents, Mervin H. Bohannon and Florence E. Huff; and many other loved ones.

She is survived by her brothers, Melvin Bohannon and Ray Bohannon; her many nieces and nephews; and the many friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and gentle spirit.

Vicki's life was one of compassion, service, and unconditional love. Whether she was caring for her patients, comforting a friend, or rescuing an animal in need, she gave of herself freely and wholeheartedly. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
