Alberta May (Behrand) Jappert

Alberta May Jappert, 89, passed away on July 5, 2020 in Overton, NV. Alberta was born on May 20, 1931 in Sterling, CO to Johann LaVerne Behrend and Rosella Amanda Steffen. She married Edward Jappert on December 5, 1966 in Las Vegas, NV, and they celebrated forty-three years of marriage together. 

Alberta was a determined and loving woman. She was always busy: cleaning the house, tidying her yard, gardening, or crocheting, Alberta needed to be doing something. She loved talking with her many friends and family. She would often talk to her children for hours over the phone. 

Alberta is survived by her children, Duane Edward Fitts and Patsy Colleen (Harvey) Bethel; her six grandchildren; her eleven great-grandchildren; her two great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Rosemary and Henry “Zook”, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Jappert, her son, Donald Edward Jappert, her brother, Vernon, and her parents.
