Alex Quinn Obituary

Alex Rudyard Quinn, 82, passed away on September 14, 2021 in Logandale, NV. Alex was born on July 16, 1939 in Porterville, CA to Alexander Quinn and Viola Litchfield. He married Tamara Addington in Wilmington, CA on September 9, 1966 and was fortunate to enjoy a 55-year long love story.
First and foremost, Alex was a devoted husband and dedicated father, grandfather and great-grandfather and his love for his family was his greatest passion. After graduating from high school, Alex joined the United States Navy, and worked as a shipfitter/welder on the U.S.S. Hector for four years. He was forever a “Salty Sailor” and everyone treasured that about him. Alex loved being in the outdoors; fishing, boating, hunting, off-roading, and taking bike rides on the beach but, his favorite place was in the desert whether in Vegas or Glamis racing dirt bikes and dune buggies with his family and friends. Alex was a renaissance man who was loved by all. He was “Papa Alex” or, “Gramps” to many, not just his family and his absence will be felt forevermore.
Alex is survived by his wife, Tammy Quinn; his children, Jason (Kristina) Quinn, and Julie (Steve) Bernardi; his grandchildren; A.J. (Jessica), Hunter, Shawn, Shane, and Justin; his great-grandchildren, Hudson and Gavin; and many nieces and nephews. Alex also loved his two children and grandchildren from a previous marriage, Pam Downing, Roy (Lisa) Quinn, and Sarah, Beth, Erin, and Robbie.
Alex’s ashes will be scattered at sea at a later date. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
