Annette Jorgensen Obituary

Annette Irene Jorgensen, 65, passed away on June 1, 2022 in St. George, UT. Annette was born on February 19, 1957 in Mesa, AZ to DuWayne Lowmna Eyre and Maxine Leany. Annette was raised with her brother and three sisters, and her family moved around often as her father worked as a plumber. She later graduated from South Sevier, UT High School and attended one semester at SUU. She returned to Richfield and worked at a drive-in café where she met Gary Lee Jorgensen. After a few months of convincing, Annette went on a motorcycle ride with Gary, and they were soon engaged and married in the Manti, UT Temple on September 25, 1976. They quickly had four children, and she went back to school to earn her Teacher’s certificate and later her Master’s Degree. She taught fifth grade and kindergarten in Pahranagat Valley for many years before retiring in 2018. She loved all the schoolchildren as they progressed in their education. She was compassionate, loving, and forgiving.

Annette enjoyed quilting and caring for her dogs. She loved camping and being in the outdoors, and would go on long rides with her best friend, Bertha. She treasured her family and the times they spent together playing board games and watching her grandchildren grow.

Annette is survived by her husband, Gary Lee Jorgensen; her children, Michael “Mike” Gary (Tonia) Jorgensen, Jason Lee (Leslie) Jorgensen, Jeremy (Andrea) Jorgensen, and Angela Marie (Aaron) Hagfeldt; her fourteen grandchildren; her two great-grandchildren; her father, Duwayne Eyre; and her siblings, Terryl Lynn (Laura Lee) Eyre, Dawnita (Jeff) Floyd, Nadine (Coy) Christensen, and Leanna (Calvin) Jackson.
