Cleta Jean (Monk) Gifford

Cleta Jean Gifford, 48, passed away on September 12, 2021 in Las Vegas, NV. Cleta was born on October 5, 1972 in St. George, UT to Tommy and Linda Monk. She was raised in Logandale, NV and attended MVHS. She later attended CSN and worked hard to earn an Associate’s degree. Cleta loved music! She often would say that music healed her soul. She loved dancing and being free. Her compassion was second to none. Whether Cleta knew them or not she would give anything and everything to help others. Her heart was bigger than her self. Her family was her world, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 
Cleta is survived by her children, Ryan (Kaylee), Shaylynn (Jordan), Heather, and Amber; her grandchildren, Kamerie, Abel, Oakley, Caston, Carter, Cayde, Harvey, Joseph, and another baby on the way; her mother, Linda Monk; her siblings, Janie, Laura, and Tommy; and a large extended family. She is preceded in death by her father, Tommy Monk.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on October 1st at 10:00 a.m. in honor of Cleta. Prior to Mass, the Rosary will be at 9:00-9:30 a.m. for those who would like to attend.
