Dorothy Turner

Dorothy E. Turner, age 91, died Saturday, November 14, 2020 at her home in Overton, Nevada.  She was born August 20, 1929 in Miami, Arizona to Vivian Edward and Melba Louise Shellcross DuBois.  In 1950 she married Celester Knighton in Yuma, Arizona.  Following his death, she later married Chester Turner.
Dorothy grew up in Arizona and later in San Diego.  She raised her family in Southern California where she enjoyed raising her children.  She was a loving mother, she was firm and commanded respect, but was always loving and thoughtful.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, discussing politics and socializing.  After moving to Overton, Nevada in 2000, she enjoyed going to the Senior Center and attending the VFW Auxiliary meetings.
Survivors include one daughter and three sons: Melody (Dennis) McKesson of Central, UT; Gordon Knighton of Las Vegas, NV; Raymond Knighton of Texas; Johnnie Knighton of Overton, NV; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son Raymond, one brother, Jimmy and three sisters, Alice, Bonnie and Jackie.
