Essie Linda Flynn
December 30, 1940 ~ January 1, 2024 (age 83) 83 Years Old
Essie Linda Flynn, 83, passed away on January 1, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Essie was born on December 30, 1940 in Overton, Nevada to Emery Leonard and Jessie Winn Lewis.
Essie loved her childhood in Moapa Valley, working on her family’s farm. She enjoyed the animals, gardening, and learning homemaking skills from her mother. She learned to make wonderful food and make beautiful quilts for her grandchildren. She loved her three children and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was very protective of them. She was genuine, caring, and intelligent. She had an immense curiosity of the human body, and devoted many years to understand body wellness. She worked for the Arizona Judicial Court system for over thirty years as a court clerk, and prided herself on the work she did.
Essie is survived by her children, James Michael (Theresa) McNally and Karen McNally (Richard) Fonbuena; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Flynn; her eleven grandchildren; her sixteen great-grandchildren with two on the way; and her brother, Stewart Lewis. She is preceded in death by her former husbands, James Emmett McNally, Jr. and Dan Clarence Flynn; her son, Daniel Raymond Flynn; her parents, Emery and Jessie Lewis; and her brother, Ray Emery Lewis.
