Gary Pierce, Jr. Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Michael Pierce Jr., a beloved son, brother, and friend, who passed away on November 1, 2023 in Las Vegas Nevada. Gary's journey in this life was one filled with love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to those he held dear.

Gary was born on September 22, 1978 in Las Vegas Nevada to his parents, Gary Michael Sr. and Nancy Bishop Pierce. From an early age, it was evident that he possessed a zest for life and an innate ability to bring joy to those around him.  His family moved to Plano, TX in 1986.  Gary was thrilled to be close to his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Gary began playing little league football at the age of 9 and played all the way through High School.

Gary graduated from Plano Sr. High School in 1997 before attending Arizona State University.  After college, Gary moved to Las Vegas, working for The MGM Grand Hotel in the hospitality industry.  Gary returned to Texas working in management for several high-end restaurants.    In 2016, Gary moved to St George, UT to be close to his parents and help take care of his father.

Gary loved all sports, but he especially enjoyed football and his Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed competing in fantasy football leagues with his close friends.  He had a warm and welcoming personality, making friends wherever he went. He had an infectious laughter and an ability to find humor in even the most challenging situations, a quality that endeared him to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Gary is survived by his mother, Nancy B. Pierce, his sisters Misty (Chad) Harris of Rockwall, TX; Gayle O’Brien of Las Vegas, NV; Alley (Gordie) Powell of Tucson, AZ; two nephew’s Mason Harris, & Ashton Powell and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary; Grandparents Lee & Noreen Bishop and Harrold & Mary Pierce.

In his passing, we remember Gary as a man who brought light and laughter to our lives. His memory will live on in our hearts, and his legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire us.

A celebration of Gary's life will be done at a later date.  Friends and family will be notified when date and time is set.

Rest in peace, Gary. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
