Howard Haut Obituary

Howard Martin Haut, 70, passed away in Logandale, NV on May 11, 2020. Howard was born on June 28, 1949 in Canton, OH to Marvin William Haut and Elizabeth Grace Geiger. As Howard attended high school, he met Diana Smith, and they were later married at Beach City, OH on December 14, 1968. In 1969, Howard joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a police officer for seventeen years. During this time, he moved his young family from Michigan to Florida, then Portugal, and was then stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV. After retiring due to medical issues in 1986, Howard worked another twenty years as a shift manager for the Bellagio.

Howard’s true passion was hunting, and went as often as he could. When he couldn’t hunt, he would go fishing or bowling. He also loved a good game of Black Out or Euchre. Howard was loved for his sharp wit and his ability to make his family laugh. He loved his family immensely, and was entirely devoted to his family.

Howard is survived by his wife, Diana Haut; his children, Marvin (Rackell) Haut, Curtis (Eva) Haut, and Heather (Charles) Law; his nine grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren; his brother, Delvin “Jiggs” Haut, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Melvin and Gracie Haut.
