Kenneth Paul Pillen

Kenneth Paul Pillen, age 80, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born August 24, 1940 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Carl Lawrence and Irene Baker Pillen. On September 21, 1958 he married the love of his life, Darlene Rita MacDonald in Reno, Nevada. They were later married again in Torrance, California.

Kenneth grew up in Bismarck until moving with his family to Southern California when he was 13. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Italy, and Thailand, before starting a 30 year career with the US Postal Service. He retired to Mesquite, Nevada in 2006.

Kenneth enjoyed music, bowling and traveling. Kenneth also indulged in kit car building with his brother John.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene of Mesquite; two daughters and two sons: Cindy (Victoria) Heflin of Lovingston, VA; Elizabeth Thomas of Springfield, OR; Carl (Shelly) of Yucca Valley, CA; Paul of Savannah, GA; six grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and one brother, Ronnie (Joy) of Murrieta, CA. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Rebecca; two brothers, Bill and John and one sister, Trisha.
