LaRella ‘Lou’ Everette

Lou Everette passed away in Mesquite, Nevada on April 11, 2021. She was born on September 17, 1931 to Cyrus Gifford and Ina Bundy Gifford. Lou met and married Roland A Reber with who she has 3 sons Larry, Randy and Vern, they were later divorced. Lou then married Clyde Everette.

As a teenager, Lou moved to Mesquite and worked at Vonda’s Cafe. She spent most of her young adult life in Las Vegas raising her kids. She and Clyde moved to Dixie Deer and ran the lodge there for several years. Lou loved entertaining, having jam sessions and parties at their house. She and Clyde moved back to Mesquite to work at the Peppermill, before they decided to retire and travel. She loved seeing new places, visting every state and also Thailand. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her siblings and friends. Lou was funny and spunky! She could hold a conversation with anyone and never knew a stranger.

Lou is survived by her son;Vern Reber, granddaughter; Kelli ( Raphael) Ballard, grandson’s; Jason Reber, Cole (Amanda) Reber, Leo Reber and daughter in-law; Jean Reber, grandson; Chris Merchant and 7 great grandsons and 1 great grand daughter. Lou was preceeded in death by her husband; Clyde, sons; Larry and Randy Reber, her parents, great grandson; Xavier Ballard and grandson; Michael Merchant.
