LoLita Frehner

Sadly, the family of LoLita H. Frehner announces her passing on Monday, May 22, 2023 in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 92.

LoLita was born June 18, 1930 in Ely, Nevada. She was the third child of Orvil & Tirza Hendrix. She grew up in McGill, Nevada before her family moved to Overton, Nevada when LoLita was sixteen. LoLita graduated from Moapa Valley High School in 1948, and later attended cosmetology college in Salt Lake City, Utah. On October 11, 1952 she married Floyd [Huck] Melvin Frehner in the Saint George Temple.

They then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and raised their six children. LoLita loved the temple and providing service as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also enjoyed being in the mountains, the outdoors, and working in her garden. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Being a wife, mother and homemaker brought her great happiness.

She is survived by her children Duane (Sandy) of Pahrump, Genice (Michael) Coatney of Overton,  Oneita (Mark) Waite of Las Vegas, Teresa (Steve) Westmoreland of Las Vegas, Tad (Paula) of Saint George; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Floyd; her son, Kenneth; her sisters, MaryBelle Perkins, Joan Jorgensen, and Sara Jane Hardman; her brother, Scott Hendrix; and four grandchildren.

The viewing will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 10:00-10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Overton, Nevada chapel with the funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at the Logandale Cemetery.
