RIchard Robinson

Richard Allen Robinson, age 66, left this earth on  Monday, February 20, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He was born June 24, 1956 in Boulder City, Nevada to Richard Arthur and Patricia Jean Torrence Robinson.  On February 14, 1974 he married Verna Lynne Short (Robinson) in Henderson, Nevada.  
Richard grew up in Henderson then moved his young family to Moapa NV in 1986.  He worked for Pepcon in Henderson until the explosion in 1988.   After the Pepcon explosion, he started a 29 year career with Nevada Power / Nevada Energy working in maintenance.  

Richard loved his family and the outdoors.  He loved to hike, hunt, fish, ride motorcycles, camp and explore the outdoors. He enjoyed classic rock, playing pool, motorcycles, gardening and building things- with precision. Rick was certainly more a "doer", and less of a talker.  He loved family BBQ’s and having family and friends over.  Everything was better surrounded by family.  His sense of humor, kindness, and willingness to always help others- will be forever missed.  

Survivors include his wife, Verna of Moapa; two daughters: Miranda Robinson of Las Vegas, NV; Jamie Anderson (and the late Lance Anderson) of Moapa; six grandchildren: Keean, Sidnee, Jerzi, Tyelar, Stowick & Lennox; and great grandson Kaias, his mother Patricia (Bill) Brock of Henderson; two sisters: Susie (Lloyd) Reardon and Sharie Orlando both of Henderson.  He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Robinson; brother, Bobby Joe Robinson and his son in law Lance Anderson.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March, 4, 2023 at 12 noon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Meadow Valley Ward Chapel, 1420 Barlow Ave., Moapa, Nevada 89025.  Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. prior to the services at the chapel.  Friends and family are invited to sign the online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
