Sharon Dougan-Sala Obituary

Sharon Dougan-Sala passed away peacefully on September 18, 2021.  Mother of Kim Eisenbeis and David Dougan (who preceded her into heaven) and Grandmother of Ryland Dougan.  She leaves too many friends and relatives who will mourn her, as she passes into the next life into the waiting arms of our Lord.  Max, her best furry friend also mourns her.

Sharon was a beautiful, intelligent woman in every way and it can truly be said that she was a trusting person who saw the best in everyone she encountered.  A true friend that you could depend on through any circumstance.  She was raised in the Richmond, San Pablo area and became very efficient in business receiving awards from Richmond High School which drew the attention of Standard Oil.  She worked for many Bay Area businesses applying her knowledge and personal skills to be one of the first female CEO’s which was documented in the Wall Street Journal in the late 70's.  She eventually landed in Capitola by the Sea, and created “Vacations by the Sea:.  She fell in love with the Village and became an integral part of the vacation rental enterprise that successfully grew into one of the most popular tourist desinations in the Monterey Bay Area.  If you were stranded in Capitola, she would find a place for you and make you feel secure and comfortable.  She always welcomed her employees and treated them with love and compassion.  This is where she met the love of her life, Craig Sala.  They were friends, lovers and always inseparable to the end.  Sharon with the help of her daughter and many others, assisted vacation management business world wide, providing technical support and expert advice.  She finally found her dream home in Mesquite, Nevada where she lived blissfully with Craig until the end of this journey.

A Celebration of her life in Capitola will be announced soon. A Service for immediate family members will be held in Mesquite, where she will be laid to rest.
