Message from Carol the mail lady
December 17, 2018 12:12 PM

In all the years of delivering mail in her area, I always enjoyed 'spoiling' her and Joe by taking their mail out of their box and taking it to them while they were in their car, or handing the mail, banded, when she was on her bicycle. Always a smile and kind word, no matter what the day. Each year I left a homemade Christmas postcard to let them know that I appreciated them each day of the year. I hope she knew how she put joy into my job.

Joe and Family,
I came to Rheam Field the year of your wedding 1972. Our hearts are saddened to hear of Carols passing. She was one of the most positive people I have ever known. When I went to work at the Naval Training Equipment Center in January of 1980 I was blessed to have her as our supply officer there also. She worked consistently with a 'can do' attitude which made my job in the Engineering Support Division OH SO MUCH EASIER. My life has been constantly blessed with warm wonderful friends who made even the most difficult of times tolerable. Joe, In the case of you and Carol, you were a time of true blessing to Betty and I. May my Lord Jesus be of great peace and comfort in this time of sadness.

Philippians 1:3 , Dave

What a great lady Carol was. Always willing to help wherever or whenever she could. Carol had a very big heart and a great sense of humor. She enjoyed life to the fullest and had so much love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Carol was so devoted to the welfare of others. She was an advocate for our Veterans and served as President of the Republican Women's club. She gathered prizes for fund raisers. In shot, she loved her community and her friends and of course her devoted family. She will remain in all our hearts as such a person of value. She loved to laugh, she loved life. What a joy it has been to know her. I am so sorry for your loss, but so joyful that we all had time with Carol. Fran Armstrong

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.
