i'm sorry if i'm just now responding to this even though i knew about it for a while. this was hard on my mom when she found out that he passed away. and to be honest i wish had a chance to know him and to see what he was like....R.I.P great Grandpa Dale

I just found out the Charlie passed away last year. He has been on my mind, off and on, for months wondering how he was doing and what had happened to him since the last time we were together on the U.S.S. Forrestal in the 50's.
I am so sorry for his family's loss, he was a great guy and shipmate. You can find my picture with the group in the 1958/1959 Forrestal Cruise book.
